Superfans vs Obsessed Fans

By my definition, I do believe there is a difference.

Super Fan:
Goes to a large number of shows because he/she enjoys the feeling and listens to the music.

Obsessed Fan:
Goes to a large number of shows because he/she feels the entertainer knows he/she is there and they have a connection.

Super Fan:
Can tell you the song list, how the audience reacted and the overall feeling of the show.

Obsessed Fan:
Can tell you the clothes that were worn, and all about the hip movements.

Super Fan:
Knows the songs, the albums, and other information about the entertainer.

Obsessed Fan:
Knows the current albums, and bits and pieces of information that they have learned from others. But, definitely can go on and on about how gorgeous the entertainer looks.

Super Fan:
May know where the entertainer resides.

Obsessed Fan:
Has been to where the entertainer resides, OR moves to the city in hopes of having a casual encounter.

Super Fan:
Sees the entertainer in passing, will speak and continue on their way.

Obsessed Fan:
Follows the entertainer around, watch his every move and intrudes at the first opportunity for a photo op.

Super Fan:
Is known by the entertainer, and receives acknowledgement because he/she is not threatening.

Obsessed Fan:
Is also known by the entertainer, the security detail and everyone around him/her because they don't know what the fan will do next.

Super Fan can give a detailed review of the song list, subtle changes in the phrasing of certain songs, the lighting, and whether or not the performer is in a good mood, without one Woo Hoo in said review.

Obsessed Fan can't do anything but stare with glassy eyes and usually with those eyes trained below the performer's belt. Obsessed Fan also yells, screams, and Woo Hoo's uncontrollably if all performer does is change from one jacket to another.
