Show Review - 12/18/2008

The show was GREAT! The opening will take some getting used to, I just really loved the techno beat and build up with “Right Here, Right Now” they do play a little snippet of that when he is about to walk through the door though.

He came out to Happy Holidays, in gorgeous red jacket and tie.

Stage left and stage right had Christmas trees set up.

There was quite a few Christmas songs :

Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer
A Christmas Song
Christmas Is Just Around the Corner
A Christmas Waltz

Other songs (in no particular order) were:

Weekend in New England -(MY PERSONAL FAVORITE)
I Made It Through the Rain
Ships
New York City Rhythm
Memory
Medley from the Decade albums
Islands in the Stream
I Write the Songs
Mandy

Copacabana - The highlight of this one was when the catwalk came down and stopped right at Barry’s shoulder level. The expression on his face was priceless. It never moved and they had to do their routine at stage level. He could only wave to the people in the balcony.

The catwalk never went back up, so when he came out for It’s A Miracle Reprise, he looked at it still down, he said gave one of the Barry looks.

Very good show, there were a lot of civilians in the crowd and you know what that means - they just don’t get our routines. We will take over the place Friday and Saturday. B won’t know what hit him.
