I Hope You Dance

Gladys Knight re-recorded the song I Hope You Dance, it is from the new movie by the awesome playwrite, actor, producer, director and writer Tyler Perry called The Family That Preys.

I haven't seen the movie yet but I am looking forward to it because I am never disappointed with his work. He sent out an email to everyone on his email list, and below is an excerpt from it. It hits the nail right on the head.

All of this to say to you, life is a gift and a blessing. Don’t let people change you. No matter what happens be wiser the next time. But, don’t let it change you. There may be people in your life that have hurt you, but don’t make the next person who has the best intentions come along and you run them away because you think they’re going to do what the last person did to you. Don’t be afraid. In life you can’t live in fear of what people will say or do. If you lose love or a friend, then maybe you never had it. ~ Tyler Perry

Pretty simple isn't it. So keep dancing, smiling and loving because we only go around on this thing once. The drama is just that drama made by people that really have nothing else in their lives. Misery loves company, and why waste the precious moments in YOUR life helping them in theirs?

In closing and asking you to think of Carly Simon's song - You're So Vain. Remember the words to the chorus? Enough said.

Everyone does at one time or another.
