Peach Buzz - Atlanta Constitution

It never ceases to amaze me what so-called reporters write to shine a bad light on Barry. I love him anyway.

Oh and BTW, Rod Stewart wished he looked as good.

Here’s the lowdown on Manilow visit

Before playing his previously postponed concert at Philips Arena over the weekend, Barry Manilow popped up at various locales around town Saturday. Thankfully, local Fanilows were on red alert and generously supplied sightings to Buzz Central Monday.

The pop icon and five friends started with brunch at Einstein’s in Midtown. The singer had the salmon scramble, sweet potato fries, coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice.
Thankfully, the Einstein’s wait staff has an eye for detail any reporter would crave.
In an e-mail dispatch to Buzz, they spilled that Manilow was wearing “skin tight jeans that hugged his svelte legs like leather. His hair was peppered with blonde and platinum highlights, resembling a Rod Stewart coif.”

Dark shades covered his face.

Later, Manilow and crew hopped into a waiting black SUV and headed to Outwrite Books.

So what exactly did Manilow purchase at the nationally recognized Midtown gay and lesbian bookstore and coffee shop?

A racy calendar perhaps?

A “Naked Boys Singing” DVD?

A Celine Dion CD at least?

Here’s the official, on-the-record word from Outwrite owner Philip Rafshoon: Manilow and party purchased multiple copies of the current Oprah Winfrey book pick “A New Earth: Awakening to Your Life’s Purpose” by Eckhart Tolle.

It’s gonna be a loong week.
